Pennsylvania-Shaped Charcuterie Board (Cutting Board)

Description

Show off your love for Pennsylvania with this stylish hardwood charcuterie board, cheese plate, and cutting board.

Handmade in Carlisle, Pennsylvania by me (Jim Cheney of Uncovering PA), this board measures approximately 16 inches by 9 inches and is between 0.5 – 0.75 inches thick. Of course, this is a handmade product so dimensions are approximate.

The board is made of hardwoods that are all native to Pennsylvania: cherry, maple, and walnut. Each board is unique and while the style and wood usage is the same for all, each piece will look slightly different from each other and from the one in the pictures. Nevertheless, they will be made with care and will be a great addition to your kitchen or home.

Boards are coated with a food-safe mixture of mineral oil, bees wax, and coconut oil to bring out the wood’s beautiful shine and to provide some protection from water and oils in food. It is recommended that you use a good cutting board oil or wax mixture on it regularly to ensure a long life for your board. Boards are NOT dishwasher safe.

This is a face-grain board which means that it is not recommended for heavy everyday cutting as it will start to show knife marks rather quickly. It is more ideally suited for use as a charcuterie board, cheese board, or something similar. Some also love simply sitting this in their kitchen as decoration or even hanging it on their wall.

You can choose to have rubber feet put on the bottom for use in the kitchen or to have a sawtooth hanger put on for hanging on the wall for an additional $5.
